WELCOME

We
would like to take a minute and introduce you to the Youth & Family Ministry at the
Downtown Church of Christ. We offer a variety of programs in order to involve
young people in the work of the Lord. We have a large youth group, but you
will find that we are very friendly and accepting and love to be Christians in
Action.
- Our youth meet together in our Youth Center Area for
classes on Sunday mornings. On Wednesday nights our Sr. High meet in small groups (Life
Groups) at homes and our Jr. High meet in small groups at the building. You are welcome to come to these
class times and group times as well as any of the many activities that our youth take part
in.
- The purpose of this youth program is to prepare teens for works of
service and to encourage each individual to be involved in a Christ-centered, united
ministry for God so that we all may reach unity in the faith and grow up into him who is
the head, that is, Christ. (Based on Ephesians 4:11-16) You will find our purpose
statement below. This is not just a statement to us, but something that we try to
live by and model.
