“Wake Up,” is all I hear as I roll over to check the time from my complimentary hotel bed. Ughh, it’s only 6:30, I think to myself. I’m not much of a morning person, so I reluctantly get ready for the continental breakfast that awaits me in the lobby. Hmm…waffles and muffins…again?? Before I could think this day couldn’t get any better, I somehow manage to knock my coffee right into my anticipating lap. I could feel the heat rushing to my face. How am I going to get through this day...?

Although not all mornings are like this in Houston, some seem to be this way towards the end of an exhausting week of vbs. Not to worry, because no matter how bad the day might seem starting out, one is never left with a hint of regret. Sure, some of the kids might have bad attitudes, and the team might not be eating dinner where you want to eat. However, one of the main attitudes we stress is the attitude “all in.” This typically means that, although things don’t always go the way everyone wants them to go; we all try to hold each other accountable to selflessness. We had an awesome weekend at Winterfest 2011 in Gatlinburg, TN this past weekend.  This year's theme was "Worthy".  And let me tell you, "Our God is Worthy!!! He showed up this past weekend time and time again.  He took care of us, comforted us, spoke to us, and filled us with the joy of his Spirit!  Ask somebody who went about our trip.  I know they would love tell you about it.  God gives us 31, 556, 926 seconds every year.  Lets spend our seconds, our time, proclaiming to the world that our God is so Worthy!

Bible Study Blessings PDF Print E-mail

alarm clock

When your alarm goes off at 5:45 to go to Bible study, it's very tempting to just roll over and hit the snooze button. However, I've been greatly blessed by going to Bible study, early as it is. We read a chapter of the Bible, talk about it, pray, and just talk. It gives you a great way to start the day at school. God calls us to shine our light at school and every where we go. Bible study gives you the courage to stand up and shine. I strongly encourage you to set your alarm and come to Bobby's at 6:30 a.m. Tuesday (girls) or Friday (guys). Hope to see you there!Wink
